The last meeting in Eastbourne sold out weeks before the event (67 people booked) and I had to turn away 17 people who wanted to attend!

I have also heard from a number of you that one of the attendees of the last Eastbourne meeting has set-up his own Speed Networking event (In fact a few of you have booked onto this event thinking it was mine as he is holding the event at the Yacht Club just like I did). Now those of you that know me well understand that I am not scared of a bit of competition. In fact I feel a little proud that we have a format that people would like to copy. I have however decided to move away from the Yacht club as we had a problem with the closeness of the tables, the noise level and the sun getting in everyone’s eyes. We have a great new venue for the next meeting, which I will tell you about as soon as the paper work has been processed.

Speed Networking Events has been operating in Sussex for a few years now, originally under the control of Paul Turner and recently via myself, Dave Grooms. We always fill our events! If you are going to take an afternoon away from your business make sure you attend our events that guarantees to bring in lots of businesses.

Things are moving pretty fast with the Speed Networking Events. Yesterday we held our second event of the year in Brighton. It was another complete sell out with 60 businesses attending.

It’s great to hear all the success stories and the positive feedback that we are getting from this form of networking.

We have just loaded a number of video testimonials onto the web site if you would like to see what people are saying about us. Over the next few days we will also be publishing video from the Brighton event.

On Wednesday, at Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour Yacht Club, our hopes and expectations for a successful first speed networking event of 2008 were well and truly surpassed. With such a big turnout (56 attendees) and a terrific atmosphere, the afternoon proved to be very productive for all concerned. Many thanks to all of you!  Despite great feedback, we are always looking to improve. We have taken on board your comments and - to help with noise levels - we will definitely allow for more space between you at future events. 

We were sorry to have to turn so many people away after demand for places was so high. However, the good news is that we are planning another speed networking event in Eastbourne in 8 weeks’ time (I will keep you posted).

  Speaker confirmed for 13th February Speed Networking Event in Eastbourne. I am pleased to announce the speaker for the next Speed Networking event in Eastbourne on 13th February 2008.

I am pleased to inform you that the highly successful Speed Networking Events are back up and running. As you may be aware, Paul Turner, who started these events, is very busy with other projects and had stopped running them.

Well, after all the good work Paul put in to launching the events and the great leads that I gained from the events, I did not want them to stop. I asked Paul if he would mind if I got them going again. To my delight (and hopefully yours) he agreed.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Dave Grooms, many of you would have met me at the Speed Networking Events in Eastbourne, Brighton and Crawley. I was the speaker at the Gatwick event last year.

We are going to kick off with a Speed Networking Event in Eastbourne on Wednesday 13th February at the Sovereign Harbour Yacth Club. There is plenty of free parking outside.

You will meet around 40/50 new business contacts at an afternoon of Speed Networking. Our events enable business owners/managers/directors to talk face to face in a series of 3 minute mini-meetings.
